We Thank Thee, O God, For a Family - Vocal Solo & Piano Composition SCORE
This prayerful poem honoring the importance of family was written by the then-65-yr-old Nora "Grams" Porter in 1983.
Originally set to the Latter-day Saint hymn "We Thank Thee, O God, For a Prophet", her words were put to music in a collaborative effort by her posterity (at the request of Leora Dye, Mary Gail Talbot adapted the melody and Kenneth Bennion arranged the piano accompaniment). This tender song is a posthumous tribute to her legacy.
They left a great heritage for us / May we cherish and honor their name.
In the performance key of D. Arranged for vocal solo (A4-D5) and intermediate piano accompaniment. Performance time ~3 min.
Enjoy!
